Hello! My name is Sean Safar.
By Design, I am an Engineer.
About
When I was 12 years old, I asked my maternal grandfather, “What would you like to tell young people about living life well?” He responded with, “Don’t be afraid to learn, try to learn as much as you can about as many things as you can. And be good to everyone, no matter who it is, try to be good to everyone.” These words have guided me through my entire life; always striving for new knowledge while seeking out opportunities to improve the lives of others.
Born in Burlington, Wisconsin, I grew up helping my father and his father at Safar Machinery, a machine tool distributing company. Through their teachings and experience, I aspired to become an engineer.
I graduate this May (2023) from Purdue University with a B.S.E.E. degree from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering coupled with an Entrepreneurship Certification.
My projects include product development at a cutting-edge robotics start-up in Silicon Valley, applying Lean Six Sigma manufacturing techniques at Bridgestone Americas, verifying components and designs of Stryker Medical equipment, and conducting quality analysis of prototype Wilson products. I thrive on using my knowledge and teamwork skills to solve problems and create solutions that are innovative and value-added, ultimately finding joy in every moment.
